Ms Tantaswa Cici is a Director for Maritime and Logistics at the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs. She has 23 years experience in the Freight Logistics, Maritime and Transport sector. She serves as a Member and a Chairperson of several structures in the sector such as Ports Consultative Committees and Lab Coordinating Committees that oversee the implementation of the 3 Feet Implementation Plan for Operation Phakisa: Ocean Economy. During her tenure in the industry, she contributed her expertise to significant milestones in South Africa ranging from conceptualizing the Port of Ngqura as a Trasshipment Hub and the development of the National Ports Act, No. 12 of 2005 to the recent achievement wherein KZN Hon. Premier made history by signing a letter of intent with NAVIGO Yachting Network from Italy to make Durban in the KZN Province one of the yachting destinations in the world and to offer aftersale sarvices such as refit and maintenance.
