Born and raised on a farm in Zimbabwe, Stuart Loxton built a successful 30-year career in the financial services industry with Liberty, Standard Bank and Old Mutual after graduating from the University of Natal. His corporate background gave him a strong foundation in leadership, strategy and client-focused service, which he has carried into the maritime sector. Today, Stuart is the CEO and owner of Superyacht Training Academy and Ocean Star Sailing Academy in Cape Town, South Africa. Under his leadership, both academies have become recognised centres for professional maritime and sailing training, preparing the next generation of seafarers and superyacht crew for global opportunities. With a unique blend of financial acumen and a passion for the ocean, Stuart is committed to developing South Africa’s role in the international superyacht and sailing industries, fostering excellence, and creating pathways for young professionals to build sustainable maritime careers.
