Paul Darrouzet is an Australian entrepreneur who transformed the dilapidated Abell Point Marina into Coral Sea Marina Resort, creating a premier superyacht destination in Airlie Beach, Queensland. With a background in mining and construction, he co-founded the Foxleigh Joint Venture coal mine before selling to Anglo Coal.
In 2013, Darrouzet acquired the marina with a vision to create the "Monaco of the South Pacific." His decade-long investment resulted in 520 berths accommodating superyachts up to 80 meters, earning multiple global accolades. Passionate about sustainability and community, he established the Coral Sea Academy for marine conservation education and supports youth sports and reef conservation initiatives. Owner of the 48-meter superyacht Big Sky, his personal yachting experience informs the marina's world-class development.
