Michael England brings over 22 years of corporate law experience to his role, having served multinational firms before becoming a trusted advisor to Ullman Sails' leadership. He became CEO of Ullman Sails International on 1 January 2018. Under his stewardship, the Cape Town manufacturing facility—one of the world’s largest sailmaking lofts—was fully integrated under Ullman Sails ownership in 2018. The facility spans approximately 7,000 m², features a state-of-the-art FiberPath membrane plant (one of only two globally), and has produced over 80,000 sails, serving as the brand’s global engine room  Michael’s operational leadership resulted in a turnover rebound to R103 million in the year ending October 2019, an R20 million debt reduction, and improved profitability despite lower volumes  Today, Ullman Sails has a presence in 25 countries through 75 sites, with Cape Town recognized as its largest production center, employing around 120 staff and boasting over 100,000 sails produced in its history  Michael will provide valuable input on how African innovation and global partnerships are forging a new path for marine manufacturing.
