MaryAnne Edwards is a distinguished leader in the global marine industry, renowned for her strategic vision and influential advocacy. Serving as CEO of the Australian Marine Export Group (AIMEX), Superyacht Australia, and the Australian Commercial Marine Group (ACMG) from 2006 to 2018, she played a pivotal role in elevating Australia's profile in the international marine sector. Under her leadership, these organizations expanded their membership bases and gained significant international standing, positioning Australia as a premier destination for superyachts and marine exports Edwards was instrumental in lobbying for regulatory reforms that allowed foreign-flagged superyachts to charter in Australian waters, a change that significantly boosted the nation's marine tourism and economy . Beyond her executive roles, Edwards has contributed to the industry as a board member of the International Superyacht Society and as Chair of the International Council of Marine Industry Associations (ICOMIA) Exporters Committee . She holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration and Human Resource Management, along with an MBA in International Marketing . Currently, Edwards serves as a consultant with Global Marine Business Advisors (GMBA), where she continues to support marine businesses in expanding their global reach . She also holds leadership positions within her community, including Vice President of the Noosa Chamber of Commerce and a board member of Tourism Noosa . Mary Anne also continues to hold the position as Chair of Judges for the Australian Marine Industry Awards. Maryanne, due to her experience in event management and originally establishing the very successful Australian Conference ASMEX is currently working alongside Veda Pretorius as Director Marketing &Development for the Conference
