Gerhard Neethling is the CEO of GEMINI MARINE, Africa's oldest and largest rigid inflatable boat (RIB) manufacturer. Having joined the company in 2007, Gerhard has played a key role in transforming Gemini Marine into a globally recognised builder of professional rescue, patrol, commercial and defence craft, exporting vessels to more than 45 countries worldwide. Known for his business-focused approach to manufacturing, Gerhard combines operational leadership with a strong background in marketing, brand development and international networking. Under his leadership, Gemini Marine has strengthened its position as a trusted supplier to rescue organisations, government agencies, defence forces and commercial operators around the world. Gemini Marine remains the sole supplier of rescue RIBS to South Africa's National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI) and is uniquely recognised as the only boatbuilder in the world to have supplied astronauts’ retrieval RIBS to SpaceX, Space Force USA, Blue Origin and Space Perspective.
