Erwin Bamps
Chief Executive Officer, Gulf Craft Group
Erwin Bamps brings more than two decades of global leadership in the marine and luxury sectors to his role as Chief Executive Officer of Gulf Craft Group, which he rejoined in 2025. His career spans engineering, international sales, and executive management across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, and beyond — giving him a truly cross-market perspective on what it takes to build and sustain a world-class marine brand.
First joining Gulf Craft in 2002, Erwin played a pivotal role in transforming the company from a UAE-based family business into a globally recognised yacht and boat builder. As CEO from 2009 to 2019, he oversaw a significant period of expansion across the leisure craft and superyacht segments, growing the company’s workforce, international footprint, and product portfolio. Between his two chapters at Gulf Craft, he held a senior executive position with a multinational brand, deepening his experience across Asia, Australia, Europe, and North America.
Erwin, an Electronics Engineer, has always stayed close to the production floor — ensuring that operational excellence and talent development remain central to the company’s success.
At the African Boating Conference, Erwin will bring a wealth of international experience to discussions on growth, innovation, and the strategic opportunities the African market offers the global marine industry.
