Chris began his career in the marine industry on the shop floor, gaining hands-on experience in boatbuilding before quickly advancing to manage a team of up to 30 staff in boat and component manufacturing. Over the course of 25 years, his career has spanned motorboat, superyacht, and high-quality mast and rig production, including work on prestigious campaigns such as the America’s Cup. This combination of technical expertise and leadership experience ensures a comprehensive understanding of the marine production lifecycle. Holding a National Certificate in Boatbuilding (Composites) and multiple management and industry qualifications has given Chris deep practical industry knowledge together with a strategic approach to industry growth. As Chief Executive of MAST Academy, Chris leads a dedicated team focused on advancing skills and knowledge in the marine, composites, and specialised technology sectors. They work closely with learners and employers to ensure individuals are equipped to build sustainable careers, and businesses have the skilled workforce they need to thrive.
