Bastian Pöhler, LL.M. (Stellenbosch) is a Senior Associate and German-qualified lawyer (Rechtsanwalt) at NoordenJones in Hamburg/Germany. As EU and international regulatory counsel to clients across the maritime, insurance, and trade sectors operating in Europe and Africa, he advises on regulatory compliance, sanctions, contractual risk, and cross-border disputes and assists clients in navigating complex risk environments and developing practical strategies for managing operational and compliance challenges. Before joining NoordenJones, Bastian practised with Clyde & Co in Cape Town and Hamburg. He holds an LL.M. in International Trade Law from Stellenbosch University, South Africa.
